Jack and Laura were introduced to each other through mutual friends when they were both 15. On the 6th February 2010, Laura accepted jack's invitation to become boyfriend and girlfriend. You may well be asking why this date is important? Well, exactly 12 years later, they chose to get married at the gorgeous Oak tree of Peover on the 6th of February!

Wedding Venue

The wedding preparations started as soon as Jack proposed to Laura in Mexico while having their evening meal on a dinner table covered with rose petals.

The couple knew that they wanted a natural and woodland theme to their wedding and surely one of the best places in Cheshire to get married which fits the bill perfectly is The Oak Tree of Peover. The very popular venue with its rustic charm and large amount of evergreen trees, make it perfect for winter weddings. The interior of the spacious and bright venue is a photographers dream in the darker winter months and the oak beams throughout the venue are beautiful. The venue was decorated by Flossies Weddings in a green and gold colour scheme which matched the woodland vibe perfectly and the wildflower style flowers were arranged by Flossies Weddings also.

Wedding dress, Bridesmaids and Groomsmen

The bridesmaids consisted of the beautiful Holly, Emma, Abigail and Annabella and the gorgeous green dresses from JJ's house, matched the woodland theme. The groomsmen consisted of Rio, Calum and Jake, all dressed in suits from Skopes suits.

Laura's lovely dress was by Bethany Hannah Bridal and Laura had this to say about the first time that she tried it on "I knew I’d found the dress when the moment I put it on, I was not interested in putting on another. I didn’t want to take it off, my cheeks hurt because I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time I was wearing it. The design on the dress fit my personality and the whole theme/idea I had for the wedding day. The designer of my dress is Essence of Australia"

The day in a nutshell.........

The bright but chilly day started early with the bride and bridesmaids make up and hair being done by the talented Faye Kenyon Hair and Make up in the bridal loft. Myself and Fiona joined the Groomsmen and bridal party early on in the day to capture some memorable moments between the lads and girls as they were getting ready. Even though Jack and Laura were probably very nervous, neither of them seemed it at the time with lots of laughing and jokes being told (especially by Laura's dad!)

When it was finally time for the best part of the day, Guy Porteous (https://guyporteous.co.uk/) started to play a piano instrumental of Elton John’s Your Song which brought tears to many peoples eyes as soon as they saw Laura walking down the aisle. The ceremony seemed to go very quickly and the next thing we knew, Jack was placing a wedding ring on Laura's finger. This ring was very sentimental due to it originally being owned by Laura's nan. How lovely is that!

Straight after the ceremony, Jack and Laura had a private moment to themselves which was a perfect way to end their ceremony, allowing them to celebrate together before meeting back up with their family and friends.

The wedding breakfast was supplied by Sue Le Bonne and the lovely food was complimented by the very talented Guy Porteous on piano.

After the wedding breakfast and speeches (which Jack managed to lose a page of his with no ill effect!) myself and Fiona asked Laura and Jack if they would like some further portraits as the sun was setting on their perfect day. We were both made up when the newlyweds agreed!

All that was left of the perfect day was the cake cutting and the most nerve-wracking event of all, the first dance!

This was signalled by the DJ (Cheshire Wedding DJ) playing Last of the Ladies by The Courteeners. Myself and Fiona didn't stop there though - we still had dance floor and sparkler photos to take!

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Laura and Jack's family and friends for welcoming us and allowing us to celebrate alongside them on this perfect day.

All the best for the future,

Chris & Fiona
